The Chemical Brothers and Armin van Buuren lead the raft of big names announced yesterday as playing at the 2010 edition of Electric Zoo.

Paul Van Dyk, Benny Benassi, ATB, Above & Beyond, John Digweed and Fedde Le Grand will be among the rest of the 50+ DJs and live acts performing at the second edition of the Randall's Island festival over Labor Day weekend in New York City. Van Buuren, ATB and Benassi represent repeat bookings in the initial line-up announcement, with The Chemical Brothers providing what will likely be the first of many Stateside touring announcements in support of their new album, Further.

As was the case last year, promoters Made Event have chosen to leak the line-up in drips and drabs, engendering plenty of speculation as to who might also be on their list of names big and small for the event. While the names announced thus far represent bigger room sounds, Made's predilection for mixing and matching styles should likely ensure that there will be plenty of genres, underground and overground, taking to the stages at the park.
