Here’s one WMC party you definitely won’t want to miss. New York’s finest—Pacha NYC in association with Rhythmism.com and Halcyon—present Get Physical By Day, an all-day shindig to be held on Thursday, March 25 at Miami’s largest private beach club, the Gansevoort Beach Club.
Judging from the lineup, the label might consider calling itself Get Mental, at least for the day: featuring Damian Lazarus
, Thomas Schumacher
, Italoboyz
, Emerson Todd
, Evan Baggs
, Matthew Dear
, Jesse Rose
, M.A.N.D.Y., and other, unnanounced members of the shadowy Physical Rave Pack, it looks pretty mind-melting.

Things are bound to get unhinged, with a tri-level, 40,000-square-foot pool area for partiers to lose themselves in. And as everyone knows, there’s no raving like daytime raving. The event runs from high noon until 10pm, making it the perfect way to greet the day and the night ahead.
Now located in Los Angeles, Crosstown Rebels
honcho Damian Lazarus certainly knows how to rock it in the sunshine, and his Get Physical colleagues Thomas Schumacher, Italoboyz, Emerson Todd, and Evan Baggs (who handles A&R for Get Physical’s Kindisch
sublabel) are sure to follow suit with some seriously photosynthesis-friendly house music of all stripes. Jacking Jesse Rose, of the Made to Play label, is a good bet to bring a tough, eclectic edge to the proceedings. And who knows what Matthew Dear will bust out, after the seductive darkness of his recent Audion releases. As for M.A.N.D.Y.? The name of those notorious playboys is practically synonymous with “pool party”.
Since there’s no one we’d rather party with than you, our beloved readers, we’re offering you a slot on the reduced-price guestlist. Just leave a comment below (make it interesting, entertaining, enlighten us!), and your screen name will be on the Beatport discount list at the door, with a +1.
To get ready, check out some charts from a few artists on the lineup, and don’t miss Get Physical’s Miami 2010 Sampler, featuring tracks from the Fix, Emerson Todd and Tim Green, Jet Project, and—intriguingly—a SBSTRK remix of Modeselektor.
