Next March, Dial Records will celebrate their tenth anniversary and twentieth CD release with a new compilation, fittingly entitled
2010.
Founded in 2000 by Carsten Jost and Peter M. Kersten, AKA Lawrence, Dial rose to fame in the second half of the '00s with their signature style of emotionally evocative minimal and deep house as found on releases like Efdemin's
Bergwein EP and Pantha Du Prince's
This Bliss. But rather than collecting all the finest moments from the past decade,
2010 (twentieth CD, tenth anniversary) will consist entirely of new material, with previously unreleased songs by label staples like Rndm, Pigon and John Roberts. The compilation will also feature the Dial debut of Isolee, a long-time friend of the label.
